I built an award-winning accountancy firm, had 400+ clients, and a brilliant team. From the outside, it looked like I had everything.


But I was still working 60 plus hours a week. Per hour, I was earning less than some of my own employees. In 2014 the stress was so intense I ended up in hospital.


My daughter asked me once: Mum, why do you work so much? I hardly see you.


That hit harder than any business challenge ever had. 

The Turning Point

The real wake-up call came in 2016 when my granddad passed away. He was 94 and had lived a good life, but it made me stop. Life suddenly felt too short to spend it all working.


I made a decision that seemed crazy to everyone around me. Over 12 months I processed the entire business so it could run without me. Then I moved to Spain and ran it remotely. People thought I had lost my mind. You cannot run an accountancy firm from Spain, they said.


The funny thing was, it didn't fall apart. If anything, it got better. My team stepped up, I made better decisions, and for the first time I had real freedom.


In 2024 I sold TI Accountancy. What I learnt through all of it is this: I hadn't built a bad business. I'd just built one that no longer fitted the life I wanted.


That is the work I do now.

Before we commit to anything, I need to understand your business properly. Not from a conversation. From the inside.


The audit is a full deep dive. Here's what it involves.


I spend a full day with you and your team. We go through your finances, your systems, your pricing, your team structure and how much the business currently depends on you being there.


Then I go away for a week and work through everything I've learned. I build a clear picture of where the business is now, what it needs, and what needs to happen first.


Then I come back for half a day. We sit down together, I walk you through what I've found, and we talk about what the next 18 months could look like.


You leave with complete clarity on where your business stands and what needs to change. Whether we work together beyond that or not.
